Representatives of Republican Presidential contender Ron Paul contacted Nevada Republican Assembly National Committeewoman Sharron Angle to inquire if the candidate could address the group. Disappointed that he was unable to attend the Presidential Rally due to the snowstorm, the Congressman requested attendance at the regularly scheduled meeting while he was in town.

Arriving promptly at 6:30, Congressman Ron Paul from Texas was greeted by NVRA President Michael Kressler prior to delivering a short talk about his campaign principles. After his address, he entertained questions from NVRA members and others in attendance. In all, he was greeted warmly by the group and agreed with many of the stated principles of the Republican Assemblies.
